Can a reasonably successful, U.S.-based mobile content brand find equal success for its English-language service in the UK? It's a question that could have been asked on the Q&A service ChaCha, and unfortunately it looks like the company has figured out the answer the hard way. ChaCha, which launched in the UK in September 2011, has now quietly shut down operations in the country after failing to find enough people to use the service to make it cost-effective.juan pablo montoya free pancakes at ihop martina navratilova high school shooting daytona 500 national pancake day ohio school shooting

The creators of Tupac's Coachella hologram reveal other artists they'd like to bring back to life: Jimi Hendrix, Kurt Cobain, Michael Jackson.
By Jocelyn Vena
<P><P>The world can't seem to get enough of that Tupac hologram from the Coachella festival. The late rapper's lifelike image left fans in awe as it performed alongside Snoop Dogg during his set with Dr. Dre. </P><P> </P><P>The people behind the projection system that created the incredibly realistic likeness of the MC are now cooking up ideas of who else they might want to bring back to life. </P><P> </P><P>Speaking to NME, Sanj Surati, head of music at Musion Technology Ltd, explained that one of music's greats could one day perform alongside one of pop's biggest stars. Asked whether there were plans to bring back Elvis Presley and perhaps have him perform next to Justin Bieber, Surati said it "would be a cool thing." </P><P> </P><P> </P><P> </P><P>If an Elvis/Bieber collabo can't shake out, Surati explained there are others he'd like to see come to life: "Jimi Hendrix, Kurt Cobain, oh, and Michael Jackson would be the ultimate one," he said. "Maybe even Whitney Houston." </P><P> </P><P>As for the future of the famous Tupac-ogram, well, Surati hopes it can be resurrected once again on a bigger-scale tour. "This is obviously a historic and exciting initiative that we're all witnessing currently, and it would make sense for them to bring it to Europe," he said. "And maybe take it to the rest of the world." </P><P> </P><P>Since the debut of the Tupac hologram, fans have been wondering what other beloved performers could find new life using this technology. On the 10-year anniversary of Left Eye's death, there was an unconfirmed report from TMZ that TLC might bring back the group's sassy rapper for a "massive 2012 reunion tour." The group has yet to comment on the rumor. </P><P> </P><P><i>Which artist would you like to see brought back to life as a hologram? Sound off below!</i> </P><P> </P><P>

There's not much we don't already know about Sony's Xperia U (formerly the Kumquat), the entry-level Gingerbread handset for the company's revamped mobile offerings. Fortunately, those brave boys down in the FCC's underground bunker decided to dissect the handset and delve into its internals, where we can still see some of that Ericsson branding -- presumably it doesn't see any harm in using up some of its old parts if they're hidden from view. Old-timey livery issues aside, the appearance of the handset bodes that all is on schedule for arrival in the second quarter of the year.

Admit it. Part of the reason you bought a Tegra 3 powered Android device is because of the gaming. We're all friends here, and I'll be the first to stand up and say that I get into some gaming on my Transformer Prime. It's easy to do when Tegra optimized games kick enough ass to fill a wheelbarrow, and here's one that does. I'm talking about Phosphor Games new title Dark Meadow: The Pact, and it's arguably the best Unreal Engine 3 game ever made.
Those are big words, especially with a little something called Infinity Blade on iOS. But Android has a secret weapon -- NVIDIA's Tegra 3 and their special relation with developers in the TegraZone. When combined with the great story, excellent voice acting, and random acts of humor Phosphor brings to the table you have the fixings of a real winner. Dark Meadows: The Pact delivers.
You wake up in an abandoned hospital. Right away you'll notice the beautiful game textures, together with smooth animations, high frame rates and poly counts which makes for a sense of being in the game world. Play this one in the dark with headphones and you're in for an experience mobile just hasn't seen yet. Above all the great game graphics, you're hearing a tale from your aged benefactor, telling you how to go about your escape. Pay attention to him, and between his moments of wisdom and bouts of insanity you'll hear some hilarious dialog. Spoiler alert: he likes bacon bits. It's over the top in a way that fits an old fellow trapped in a decrepit Insane asylum. He'll warn you of the creatures that stand in your way, which you'll soon meet. They're incredibly detailed, and grotesquely beautiful in their own right.
Of course you'll have to fight your way past them, which leads us to the game mechanics. It's an open style map, meaning you can see where you are as well as everywhere you may need to explore, and character movement is a breeze. Tap a glowing ring and you move to it, and you can look around a full 360-degrees to search for treasure, secret compartments, and bits of documents that will help you on your way. It's perfectly suited for touch-based gameplay, as is the combat system.
One of the disfigured minions will appear in a puff of dark smoke, and your trusty crossbow appears in your hands. By pulling back the string you get to see the arc the bolt will fly and use it to aim. Maneuver it so it crosses paths with your foe and let go. Once the creatures get close, your ranged weapon is replaced with a melee weapon and you have a tap and hold blocking function or a swiping attack function. The whole time you're also able to tuck and dodge left or right by tapping an on-screen arrow. There are no confusing controls to learn, and you'll be proficient in just a few minutes -- leaving more time to enjoy the exceptional look and depth of the game. As you progress you'll level up and assign points into skills, as well as find gold to trade at the store for better items. You'll need both, because "the witch" does not fool around. You have been warned.
This is how mobile gaming was meant to be. If you have a Tegra 3-powered device, it's simply a must-have game. Hit the break for some gameplay footage and screenshots, as well as the all-important download link.

Ever since Nintendo slashed the price of the 3DS, there's been plenty of speculation that the gaming giant has been selling the portable console at a loss. The company acknowledged that fact during its disappointing earnings report, stating, "its hardware has been sold below cost because of its significant price cut in the fiscal year ended March 31, 2012," something that's uncharacteristic of the company's past operations. But as with its fairly unfortunate financials, the company plans to turn things around, adding, "Nintendo expects to cease selling it below cost by the middle of the fiscal year ending March 31, 2013."

A new startup called ShopLocket says it's ready to serve people who want to sell things online, but don't need to create a full-blown storefront. Supposedly, co-founder and CEO Katherine Hague was part of that group herself. She wanted to sell some T-shirts on her blog and website, but she didn't need to create a full-blown Shopify store, nor did it make sense to pay the $29 monthly fee. With ShopLocket, she wanted to create something that was simpler and more affordable, while still looking professional.acapulco mexico hines ward alex smith alex smith robert deniro mexico news the talented mr ripley
